All about Velociraptor Skull Key Chain
Velociraptor, or “fast hunter,” was an aggressive predator that lived 83 to 70 million years ago. Although only 30 pounds, its sharp claws and strong jaws made it an effective hunter. Paleontologists know a lot about this dinosaur from fossils. Skulls reveal that it was likely nocturnal. When it walked, velociraptor had to keep its huge killing claw raised. One spectacular fossil called the “Fighting Dinosaurs” tells us that velociraptor hunted the horned herbivore protoceratops. This fossil preserved the skeletons of the two dinosaurs locked in deadly combat. Another remarkable fossil studded with quill knobs tells us that velociraptor had feathers, the sort we find on birds today.
