I need to get a digi camera. If they look half way decent and I finally get the camera then sure I'll figure out how to post them... My romp through the woods was sucessfull, the footprint I wanted was washed away in the rain (it has been going like nonstop for the past 2-3 days) but I found another one and dragged a friend out and she agrees it is a cat print, she thinks bobcat, but it could be mountain lion, they are back in IA, it is one of them...

You are the first person to respond like that , so far most people are all like "oh that is so scarey, be careful Karen, don't get attacked Karen, are you sure you should be playing in the woods Karen...." So far there have not been any attacks and I read about how to prevent them, if I see one I scream and flail, don't run or they want to chase... Me stay out of my new play area, never!!!

A pink ulcer would be more appropriate than a purple one, it is a Gram negative, but it would be purple if one just used crystal violet so purple is not too far off... If they were all based on Gram stain it would be rather boring, only purple and pink (though I have heard of other color stains being possible for the Gram for color blind people, not sure what color they are...)

I think you're supposed to spread your arms, walk backwards slowly, facing the whatever-it-is, and sing jingle bells at the top of your lungs...

Is that how the Canucks do it??? Not sure which is less dignified, your way or the flailing and screaming. I doubt I'd do either, I'd probably just stare at it in awe. It is extremely unlikely it would let me see it though, they are very shy and very aware of a person before the person is anywhere near close enough to see it so they tend to avoid us.

I'll believe you since as a stater I believe that Canada is basically a vast wilderness and ya'll live in cabins and such ! Bet that walk to the outhouse is mighty long through all that snow! (just kidding )

My bathroom is across the hall, about six feet from my bedroom. And my house is really big. And it snowed for 5 minutes once this winter.
