OK, this question just suddenly found it's way into my head... what would you think of a bird flu microbe? i think it would be cool! what are your thoughts?

bird flu wld be cool. but im sure i herd somewhere they wernt interested in making microbes of things like bird flu and anthrax etc. 'tis a shame, i think they shld!

I think they want to avoid some of the more "trendy" bugs, I can't remember the reasoning but I did read they are avoiding them. I think they are avoiding Anthrax because they are afraid of controversy because of its use/potential use as a bioterror agent. I think bird flu would be silly since there already is flu and many flus are bird flus or part bird flu.
