Probably because of the way the atual microbe looks under a microscope. Most look sort of fuzzy, but Polio has very defined edges and those weird pointy flap things.

might i ask, pollock, why your name is pollock? my name is mazuac b/c of a video game, the charector was Mizuti, so i made up my own charector named Mazuac... and what about you kskerr

Jackson Pollock was an incredibly famous painter. He was the leader of the "abstract expressionist" movement. I admire his work; he is my favorite painter.
