Yea, that's right, E. Coli is usually the beneficial type because it lives inside your stomach, helping you get vitamin k and digest your food. Without it, you'd die. But many of ya'll take it as a pathogen with all the horrid news that goes on about it, and because the news stations either don't describe the bacteria or because they do, but people don't pay attention to that. The thing is that E. Coli is naturally harmless but if under the right conditions, it mutates and a deadly strain could form. And that is probably the strain that most people would only know about.

Nah. I don't think so, after all, it seems like T4 only attacks the strain O157:H7... At least I think it's the pathogenic strain...
I'm not all that sure it only attacks the pathogens, but if it does, then this must be like one of the very few viruses that are actually beneficial to us, or maybe the only one... Am I wrong?

Bacteriophages are almost exclusive to the type of bacteria they feast on, if you are unsure about which bacteria you have, you can use phages to ascertain which bacteria you have. They are very cool indeed in my view! Another interesting fact, out of yout total bodyweight, 1.5 kg is made up of bacteria weight alone. Given the size and weight of a bacteria, it gives you some idea how many squillions of bacteria live on us all the time

Hey! I totally forgot about that! I learned that about a month ago in biology and (my memory is very short term
) we were watching a video over... uh.... Beneficial bacteria I believe... I think it said there were 2 or 3 pounds of bacteria in our bodies... Gah! I really hate how we go by a different measuring system! Out of all the countries, why did I have to be in the few that don't use the metric system?! Grr... It's really confusing!
