There needs to be a glow in the dark Deinococcus radiodurans made!

The "nuclear resistant" microbe definately need to be made, and either UV light sensitive or glow in the dark would be awesome.

I was just about to post about this! I definitely second this, and having it be UV sensitive or phosphorescent would be incredible! A whole series of extremophilic organisms could be really neat....

That would be awesome! Gotta make Thermus aquaticus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermus_aquaticus), being that it is not only cool in and of itself but also because of how it revolutionized molecular genetics.
