Default An archaeal Giant Microbe

I think it would be cool to see an archaeal Giant Microbe.
For those who are not familiar with Archaea: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archaea

I know the cellular morphology of most archaeal cells would not be too different from bacterial cells, but maybe something interesting could be developed

Default Yeah!

I'd love to see some of those, also there's a group of bacteria that eat nuclear waste. Also a hand full that live in old rocks. Some of those are eubacteria...but they are all of more extreme lifestyles.

Default Yes, quite.

There are a ton of life forms that would be cool just because they're fairly interesting... Chemotrophs, and sort of extremophile... Also...a fuzzy little water mould--those aren't bacteria...in fact no one is terrifically happy with their categorization last I checked...but...I like them...
