Bacteriophages are almost exclusive to the type of bacteria they feast on, if you are unsure about which bacteria you have, you can use phages to ascertain which bacteria you have. They are very cool indeed in my view!
Another interesting fact, out of yout total bodyweight, 1.5 kg is made up of bacteria weight alone. Given the size and weight of a bacteria, it gives you some idea how many squillions of bacteria live on us all the time
