Question Taking a microbe diving?

I'm off to the Red Sea on the 3rd Sept, and I was wondering, is it possible to take my MRSA plushie diving in Salt Water? Will it completely destroy the velvet? Or should I just rinse it off after?...

There are a couple cases of swine flu in my local village, no one is really bothered though.... Its flu.... yea, maybe its got slightly more teeth than regular flu... but its nothing to go isolate...
