My science fair just finished and I won! I did Bacteria v.s. Soap Brands. On my presentation, since I didn't have a microbe yet. I made fact files and I made my own E. Coli and Stomach Virus. On the sheet, I used the images from the plushies? Does anyone else enter their science fair?

As far as I know my school didn't have one, lame! Occasionally we'd do projects but nothing big.

Oh and congrats on the win, love it when a micro project kicks butt!!! Did you actually run an experiment (if so what) or was it just a literature review?

Yes, I did do the project and I used GloGerm, the stuff that shows germs.

If you were using what I think you did it does not make "germs" on your hands glow, it is a glow-in-the-dark lotion and it shows how well someone washes their hands, very cool stuff. If cannot determine how effective a soap is just the effectiveness of the soap user. A stain that would stain microbes on your skin would likely also stain the skin and some of them are hazardous.

my brother's school has an annual science fair but it's usually engineering so i don't think i can bring my microbes anytime soon (and the principal of that scool likes my microbes and can't wait to see what i get next)

I did a science fair project with my friends,"the science of war" i involved my anthrax microbe,we used my r/c fighter jet and some fishing wire to suspend it and a servo to a realese mechanism to air drop it in and there would be a fan to blow talcum powder to show the spread of an anthrax cloud over a city,it wasn't as big a set as it sounded, the school playing field is huge!

I got first place in the microbiology section with my project comparing how much bacteria dogs and humans grow.
