Totally agree. Plus: Eyelids increase "cuteness" factor by 10E3 ;)

I had a feeling it had to do with that.

Very funny explainations :D! Perhaps it is thinking about how big the ethanol molecule would be if it were enlarged the same amount ;).

I agree about the "cuteness" factor. Yeast has been my favourite since my first batch of microbes :)

I was wondering why the eyelids were closed! At first, I thought it was because yeast does so much, and was tired from working, but drunkness is a good explanation!:D. I also love how big yeast is. It makes him easier to hug!

Wild yeast...kind of makes a funny mental picture...:D :D :D :D

On the GIANT microbes website it says yeast has something to do with beer. So I'd say yeah, he's drunk. Or maybe he's tired out from doing, ohhh, I dunno, some kind of germ thing. :D

There is more than one kind of yeast, the one the plush is made after is the kind that makes bread and beer (same organism for both but generally different strains used for brewing v baking). There has been a few cases of that kind being a pathogen but it was in extremely extremely immunocompromised individuals (very very very very advanced AIDS) so it is not considered a pathogen, some people ingest it as a probiotic (microbe that gives health benefits).

Yeast, yeast, yeast of the jungle bloated as can be, yeast, yeast, yeast of the jungle making bread for me! That's a funny picture of wild yeast, swinging on vines and wearing a microscopic loin cloth!:p :p :p :p

Oh yeah, budding microbiologist!

te he, budding, that is a nice pun considering that that is how yeast reproduces :D....
