I went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science to see this really cool exhibit called Body World 3, and in the gift shop, they had all kinds of GMs in little baskets, and I went NUTS! It took me about 30 minutes to decide on which two I wanted to purchace (I buy in pairs).

I used to play clarinet/bass clarinet in middle school, but I quit when I got to high school because I just wasn't interested anymore.

I believe it's a glockenshpiel actually. It's a little hand held instrument that, when cranked, a wooden stick clicks up againt the teeth on a metal geat, thus making a "clack clack clack" noise, much like a gattling gun, or a baseball card clicking against the spokes of a bike tire.

The Museum of Natural Science is in Houston, Texas in our museum district. The exhibit ended a couple weeks ago, though. It was the must successful temporary exhibit the museum has ever presented.

Amtrak goes through much of the country. No I do not think I have heard of your instrument, my mom had an odd on that is supposed to be played with a feather, not sure what it was called, it had strings. I tried learning guitar, that was very short lived. They taught us some basic keyboarding in 6th grade, I liked it but did not pursue it.

I was thrilled when I found out about Giantmicrobes, I was a Jr in college and was very close to deciding I wanted to become a microbiologist (I made the decision that year) and as soon as I could I ordered them all, back then there was only the 15. The order wouldn't go through and I was devastated, I kinda remember them calling me but it could have been me calling them, and that straightened it out and I got my bugs almost immediately. Couple years later they came out with a bunch of new ones and when I found out my family jumped on it, some of them have trouble knowing what to get me since I became employed and so buy whatever I want (well until recently, now I can't afford to since I have my own place and pay rent and bills, I miss living at home sometimes!). So between 2 birthdays and Christmas I had them all again (well except for the German made up one).

It is not the not speaking german that would be the problem I don't think, it is the not being in Germany that could pose the issue. So far none of us has tried to just order it from the german site, that could work you never know...

I don't know, my mom ships things to her penpals in europe, one is in denmark, and I don't think it costs that much, and she ships big boxes sometimes. A little microbe should not be too much, perhaps I'll ask her how much her Dane has to pay to send her stuff as that would be more accurate than how much we have to pay to send it to them...
