I'm an up-and-coming Vet Tech student. We were talking in class one day about giant microbes, and thinking about what would make the best one.

The one that we came up with was Echinococcus Granulosus. It's not an animal-only bug. It causes something called Hydatid disease in humans. Quite nasty! I actually heard it was a culprit in a recent episode of "house"

Plus, they're so cute! See?

The only thing is that it's a tapeworm, not a microbe. :(

My sister also wants to see a tape worm, it would not be totally out there considering the critters group (louse et al).

I completely agree. All kinds of worms and parasites could be added.

Exactly. You can see head lice. Also, all of the Critters aren't single-celled like the rest of the Microbes, so why not a tapeworm?:D
